Zinc Oleat Special

What is Zinc Oleat

This product is designed to act as a mild Peptiser for Natural rubber and synthetic rubbers(except Poly Chloroprene). It also acts as an Activator for Accelerators of the Thiazole, Sulfanamide, Thiuram and Dithio Carbamate classes. Also helps dispersion of carbon black, helps in lowering decomposition temperature of DPT type Blowing agent.

Chemical composition

Zinc salt of higher molecular weight unsaturated fatty acid

Properties

  • Appearance: Yellowish to Brownish Flacks
  • Melting Point: 78oC to 85oC
  • Solubility: Soluble in Benzene, Chloroform, Trichloroethylene and zylene. Insoluble in water, acetone and alcohol
  • Stability: Excellent

Compounding Information

To get maximum peptising effect Zinc oleat should be added in the beginning of compounding along with natural or synthetic rubber, which helps in uniform compound, camel back etc.

Application

In the manufacture of Extrusion compounds. Cycle tubes, calender moulding, moulded articles, tyre tread compound, camel back etc.

Dosage

In normal compounds of Natural rubber or synthetic rubbers loaded with fillters-2 to 3 pbw/phr. Sponge and cellular rubber compounds-3 to 4.5 pbw/phr
